This book highlights Fox Company’s engagement in two major battles of this period-the Battle for Jane Russell Hill (a part of Triangle Ridge) and the first Battle of Pork Chop Hill. Reconnaissance patrols and challenging combat patrols were major activities for maintaining the hardiness of front line positions. to commemorate the contribution of American servicemen in the war. One of the major military activities of the Korean War was combat patrol action deep into “no man’s land” as illustrated in the topic chosen for the Korean War Memorial monument in Washington D.C. The challenges that can occur in frozen or rainy, mud-soaked conditions are detailed and the frequent artillery barrages and hill assaults are described. Daily life under battle conditions is clearly described. The events described here are likely representative of what many American combat infantrymen went through during the later months of the Korean War. In the descriptions of his experiences, the author provides a graphic portrayal of living conditions on the front and describes combat actions that occurred. Life on the front line vacillated between boredom and severe weather challenges between the sudden life threatening enemy attacks and our assaults on enemy positions on Korean hills to retain our strategic place along the front line. The book describes trench warfare in the mountainous Korean terrain under extreme weather conditions. The main goal of this book is to provide a description of the combat experiences of an infantryman with Fox Company of the 17th Infantry Regiment during the final year of the Korean War (1952-1953). Funny thing was that at the time she was a sgt in the Army.
She failed the MMPI and the shrink took about thirty seconds to look at the results to rule that she was totally unsuited for a para military career like law enforcement. My ex wife once tried to get hired by a sherriffs department. Its a stupid weed out test that has little to no meaning in real world sense. Anyone who takes five minutes researching the test can figure out which questions are the "rigged" questions and can thus fool the test. The braniacs who made the test figure someone trying to fool the test will say no because everyone has bad thoughts now and then. For example "Some times I have bad thoughts" - yes or no. Well all it takes is a little common sense to figure out how. The test is supposedly "rigged" to detect people who are trying to fool it. The first time I took it I literally started laughing at how assanine it seemed and now I just detest it. Between college, testing for various agencies, and my shooting I've taken this test at least seven times now. I think this test is the biggest joke of anything that happens in hiring.
